Water
The water system was authorized and completed in September 1963.  The city currently has three water wells with five storage tanks, one of those being the overhead tank that can be seen for miles as approaching the city.

Sewer
In February 1966, the citizens voted to build a sewage system.  Both the water system and sewer are maintained by certified technicians.  In September 2003, the council elected to sign a contract for local garbage pickup.

Police

In 1982, the city hired a City Marshall on a part time basis.  A patrol car was purchased at that time.  Currently the city has one officer who serves as Chief of Police and is on call when needed 24-7.  When the city hall is closed citizens can call the Sheriff’s dispatcher which will dispatch the city officer or a sheriff’s deputy as needed.  The city council established a municipal court in November 1982.   Court currently meets on the second Thursday of each month at 4:30 p.m.
