    St. Peter Catholic Church

Like our Catholic Faith, our church is a beautiful treasure which has been passed down for generations. The first St. Peter's Catholic Church was built in 1892 with the first Mass being said on Easter Sunday of that year.  The current larger church was completed in 1903, but was destroyed by a cyclone in 1917. The parishioners re-built the church which you see today. It is one of sixteen painted churches in Texas. The church has been restored twice over the years with the latest completed in 2012 and is in pristine condition.  The Church is open during daylight hours. We are pleased to share both with you, our visitor.

    J.M. Lindsay & Parkview Park

In 1905, Judge J.M. Lindsay gave the Town of Lindsay a deed for 9.97 acres of land that would be used by the new community as the city park.  The park has a ½ mile walking path, a large pavillion, 10 pit sanctioned horseshoe pits, sand volleyball court, tennis courts, swings, slides and merry-go-round, 9 hole disc golf course with tee boxes and a gaga pit.  There are several restrooms available. The pavillion and/or kitchen can be rented for large events.

The Parkview Park (1.70 acres) was created July, 2009 after homes from the flood of 2007 were destroyed and purchased by the City.  This smaller park has a ¼ mile walking path. There are picnic tables and benches available.
